We`ve been traveling for 15 years now, and have visited somewhere between 60 and 70 countries.
We`re Pat, Ali, Ouest and Lowe Schulte.
If you really want to travel, you`ll do it whether you have a 2 pound backpack or a 22 pound pack.
Don`t buy anything until you`ve needed it three times.
I`d suggest that one of the biggest reasons we have been able to travel the world so widely, and on so many different modes of transportation, has been our ability to live light.

SALT AND LIGHT

Salt and light are images used by Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount, one of the main teachings of Jesus on morality and discipleship. ... But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. Matt 5:13-16.

Salt metaphorically to signify permanence, loyalty, durability, fidelity, usefulness, value, and purification.

Sāls un gaisma ir tēli, ko Jēzus izmanto kā vienu no svarīgiem māceklības un morāles pamatprincipiem. Ja sāls zaudē savu sālīšanas funkciju, tad kā to atdabūt atpakaļ, lai tas varētu sālīt? Tas vairs nav nekam derīgs un ir ārā izmetams, ļaudīm ar kājām saminams. Mateja 5:13-16. Te izteiktas Jēzus cerības un gaidas no mācekļiem.

Sāls simboliskā nozīme- pastāvība, lojalitāte, izturība, uzticība, lietderība, vērtība, attīrīšanās.

Accepting a messenger

Matthew 10:40-42 "We are intimately linked in this harvest work. Anyone who accepts what you do, accepts me, the One who sent you. Anyone who accepts what I do accepts my Father, who sent me. Accepting a messenger of God is as good as being God's messenger. Accepting someone's help is as good as giving someone help. This is a large work I've called you into, but don't be overwhelmed by it. It's best to start small. Give a cool cup of water to someone who is thirsty, for instance. The smallest act of giving or receiving makes you a true apprentice. You won't lose out on a thing."
